Peggle and Peggle nights are great! I have over 90 H/O games, but once I play them I don't want to play them again. Caelum is not bad, it's kind of a pin-ball arcade game (which is why I like peggle so much). The robot guy is VERY annoying and I wish I could get rid of him. I bought it and have playing for several days. I want to get to the "challenge level" where I play against the computer, like Peggle does. At least these 2 games never get old, you can play again and again.
I bought this game as a daily deal. Don't be misled. From the screenshots I thought this was a ball and paddle brick blaster type game where you bounce the ball off your paddle and break the bricks, kind of like Pong back in the day. It definitely isn't that. In fact once you shoot the ball from your paddle the first time, you can't ever catch it again. The game play depends on you shooting the ball in the right direction so that it stays on the game area long enough to take out a maximum number of balls. Unfortunately, this doesn't follow any kind of apparent logic or reason. Shoot the ball one way, and it'll head in an entirely unthought of direction. This makes the game extremely difficult, even in the early stages. I played for about an hour before I gave up in despair. The graphics are nice, but the sound is very annoying from the music to the sound effects. The game does feature diary entries of some robot that are amusing and quirky, but that doesn't make up for the bizarre and unmanageable game play.
Caelum is a "Peggle-like" game that I really wanted to like because I love Peggle, but somehow it misses the mark. 1) The ball is very small and doesn't always hit in a way that you expect (i.e. the physics are a little odd). 2) There are only 3 power-ups which you get immediately and due to the size of the ball, one of them is useless. There is nothing to "earn" here, nothing to spend points on or work up to - every puzzle is just that, another puzzle. 3) I decided not to read the story line after the first bad joke. 4) There is no "art" to speak of at all, no cute characters or interesting backgrounds. The only thing that changes is the position of the balls. In the end, I gave up and uninstalled; it just isn't very fun.
