a favorite time management game

one of my favorite time management games..simple ....by todays standards but enjoyable

BARB

I do all the Build-A-Lots and this is much more challenging! Great game!

Brilliant Time Management Game

This is my favourite Time Mangement Game. I bought it 4 or 5 years ago, and I replay it at least once a year - and the challenge is there again. I like the story line, I like the difficulty, I like the game.

Excellent Strategy Game

This is one of the first builder-type strategy games (like My Kingdom for the Princess, etc.) that I played, and it really hooked me. Challenging game play without being too difficult, and a clever story line. This type of game is becoming more popular, but this is still one of the best ones out there--much better than some of the new ones.

Excellent value and great true Time Management game

A delightful game on a par with the first Royal Envoy, perhaps even better? It is a true Time Management game rather than a clickfest TM, like some of the Farm Frenzy ones which rely upon fast clicking to speed up production to be able to win and if you have arthritic hands you have problems. I regard TM as being where you manage the time efficiently by changing order of operations to get the maximum efect and that there are at least 2 ways to get a desired (gold ) effect. Forgotten Lands is this and more. It has multiple ways of getting the gold on many levels. True there are periods where you have to wait for an action to finish before proceeding (train 10 scholars) and you can even have a couple of spoonfulls of ice cream while watching the progress and before the final task and getting gold. Relaxing and can be frenetic. A true winner. Let us see more from this manufacturer. It has an easy tutorial system for the first 3-7 levels slowly bringing in each new item (bit like Build a Lot and Farm Frenzy). In addition it has a Help section showing clearly what items are in the game and what their advantages are. True the graphics are not the super hires graphics of more recent games, but equally that means it will run smoothly on most systems as indicated by the low tech complaints of only 2 people. Great little story line with increasing challenges which rarely repeat as found in some other games (get 2 eggs/ get 2 eggs and t milk/ get 6 eggs and 2 milk/ get 10 eggs and 5 milk etc) so it avoids the repetitions of others. As well it does not require fast clicking, but an ordered progress of steps to do with considered planning. There are walkthroughs and a good amount of help on the bigfish forums. Look forward to more similar games from this company.

Fun Time Management Game

This is the first time management game I ever played (years ago) and the first my husband has played (this year) for both of us it was addiction at first play. I have replayed this game many times and it remains fun and challenging. The graphics are extremely basic but cute and the music is repetitive without being grating on the ears. This game is a perfect introduction to time management because it doesn't involve frantic mouse clicking and eye-flicking to find crucial resources. Instead you have a goal, and you have specific building sites and characters with specific skills and within a set time limit you must build and place characters to meet the goal.

Perfect Pace

This my all time favorite game. It is just challenging enough to be difficult, but not impossible. It has a lot of strategy involved, and a lot of variety. The levels are different enough that you never feel bored. Great game, I wish there were more of them.

Royal Envoy reminds me of this game.

This game is older than Royal Envoy, and I've owned it since 2008. The gameplay is similar, but different enough that if you enjoy RE you should at least give this game a play (and vice versa). You start each level with a list of goals and it's up to you how to meet it. You have different worker types to hire in the "town" to get the job done. You have general workers who build buildings and do low-level work in most of them. You have merchants, who generally earn money wherever you put them. You can upgrade the buildings to hire "experts" in the building task that greatly increase output. You get the ability to build more buildings and hire more types of workers as you go. Along the way, you get to build large structures that advance the story. Yes, the graphics are simple (but pleasant and not distracting). The workers look sort of like those Fisher-Price Little People you plug into the schoolbus. I can lose track of time playing this game.

Still enjoying it

Loved the game kept hoping for a sequel

Wonderful strategy game!

This game is extremely addictive! If you want a mindless game that you can easily beat, this is NOT the game for you. :P The puzzles start out pretty manageable, deceptively easy. Every stage has a time limit, and you must finish the puzzle before it runs out. With each level, the challenges get more and more difficult. Even after several failed attempts at beating a stage, you just can't leave it alone until the puzzle is solved. lol The bonus stages are very challenging and fun.
